U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds flight over downtown Austin

As part of the celebration of #HealthcareHeroes the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds flew over Austin and the surrounding area May 13th. The flight was supposed to be the day before and an hour earlier, but weather forced a schedule change.

Our building downtown opened up the observation deck on the 55th floor which provided us a great perspective.

The flight path is below, but, again, the times were an hour later than on the map.

This first video is as the Thunderbirds came towards downtown, then looped back to the north towards Round Rock.

The second video is an awesome fly over as they flew south then curved to the east.

The last video is as the Thunderbirds came back around heading west over Lady Bird Lake.

I took mostly videos but pulled some photos out of the videos. The one below is as they flew right over the building.

And, finally, a shot of the group of Air Force Thunderbirds (with chase planes) heading west over Lady Bird Lake.
