About Larry
Larry Ketchersid is an entrepreneurial technologist, a martial artist, a writer and a family man. He has run several technology startups, some wildly successful, others not worth mentioning. He has degrees in Computer Science, Mathematics and Physics, leading his wife to name him ‘nerd’. To protect said wife, he also has a 2nd degree black belt in Soo Bahk Do Moo Duk Kwan (his son has a 1st degree black belt), and continues to study Qigong, Tai chi chuan and other martial arts. Larry lives in Texas with his wife, son and daughter. And, yes, he does have a blue Jaguar XK (which has rolled over 100K miles!!!!).
Larry started putting book, movie and music reviews up when he found himself buying the same book twice (yeah, old age sucks). At first he was putting them on Amazon, now he puts them here, and
occasionally on Amazon, Shelfari, Library Thing and Goodreads.
Larry is currently working on a less serious (could have said “more humorous” but you’ll be the judge of that) tentatively entitled “Software By the Kilo” and the sequel to “Dusk Before the Dawn”. Updates will be posted on this web site as they become available.
Larry: Would you be willing to review a new book by Arthur Rosenfeld? Rosenfeld has written another book in the martial arts fiction category, “The Crocodile and the Crane.” It will be out in mid-September. I
It’s a martial arts fiction novel of immortality and apocalypse. The main characters are two immortals, a ruthless beautiful woman, and her gentler Taoist brother who have the key to world-wide plague. Fate brings a martial artist, a cop, a nurse, and a bookseller together and the question, “Why haven’t they succumbed to the plague?” There is an unknown thread in the book; will humans survive nature’s cleansing? Do the immortals have a plan to save us humans? Why the gruesome smile?
As you read this book you will find that the cure lies hidden in the secrets of Eastern philosophy and qigong.
It’s not a sequel to “The Cutting Season,” the author is still writing that one.
Let me know if you would like to review “The Crocodile and the Crane” and post it on Amazon or your own Web site. Please send me your address.
Naturally, there is no obligation on your part.
Regards,

Thank you for posting the set list for Elton John’s Vegas show- we were there and it is a great momento!!
Marisa
Marisa, you are welcome. Much to my wife’s dismay, I was typing it into my Blackberry during the show so I wouldn’t forget…then our friends who went with us argued with me that I got it wrong!
Great show, that it was.
